We are delighted to announce that we've entered into a partnership with Good News Garage, to encourage members of the New England Synod to donate usable vehicles for those in need. Vehicle donations offer families a big step towards financial stability and also generate a payment to the synod. Donating a vehicle is easy, free and secure. Good News Garage will pick up your vehicle and inspect it. If the vehicle is in usable condition as a program car, it will be donated to a family in need through Good News Garage.
If the vehicle is sold at auction instead, the proceeds from the sale will be split between the New England Synod and Good News Garage. It’s a win-win: You support the synod's annual appeal as well as those in need of transportation and you avoid the trouble of repairing or selling a car you no longer want! All you need to do is mention the New England Synod when you make your donation.
Donors qualify for free towing/pick-up and generous tax deductions – up to the car’s fair market value. All types of vehicles are accepted including cars, trucks, vans, boats, RVs, motorcycles, airplanes, tractors and more.
Good News Garage launched in Burlington, Vermont in 1996 as one of the nation’s first car donation nonprofits providing affordable and reliable transportation options for people in need. Now expanded to Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Good News Garage has provided nearly 6,000 New England families with reliable vehicles. The organization’s goal is to increase opportunities for its clients to move out of poverty and into financial and social stability.
